This Christmas my sister and her boyfriend agreed they'd help with my PC build with them giving me about $180 (USD) I'll have some more money to add on to the $180, but I'm looking at my CPU and I'm wondering, should I get the i5-4690K for $215 or the i5-4590 for $186, I'll be using a B85 chipset mobo so no overclocking, (the non-K 4690 costs more than the K), all in all I should stop rambling.

I plan on having a YouTube channel for gaming so, Recording gameplay, and light-ish editing and rendering (i assume), and Also Twitch streaming

So Should I get the cheaper 4590 or the more expensive 4690K, or just abandon the whole plan and throw out the parts i already bought

Since your motherboard wont be able to overclock the 4690k you should just go with the 4590.

The performance gaps between them are pretty slim if any. If you are gaming, shouldn't see really any difference if both aren't overclocked, both have the same ipc and the same level of cache with only a .2ghz turbo boost difference.

Depends... I always seem for it to be a bit sketchy buying stuff used, unless it's a trusted buyer

Do you have a microcenter? They usually have the cheapest mainstream cpus, the one by me sells the 4690k for $180. Also some b85 motherboards support overclocking with a bios update such as the DS3H by gigabyte.

Nearest one's in antoher state, I know for sure you can OC G3258 on MSI's B85-G43 GAMING (what i bought) I just dont want to try OCing an i5 or even i7 and start a campfire
