Stock cooler on my cpu?

Imaginary Friend
Go to solution Solved by SkilledRebuilds,

They wouldn't include it with CPU's if it didn't do the job.

Just that its not the best, it still works though, a little loud, a little warm, but it works.

Just save the overclocking attempts until you replace it.

Hi!

I would like to know if the stock cooler will work fine on the i5-4690k?

I will not overclock it until i get a new cooler?

Yes, it's perfectly fine to use a stock cooler on your CPU. (Assuming the you're talking about the one that came with your CPU)

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz
