Hey guys! i have a question. how should i gain money from youtube like linus does? and does companies like asus etc etc tell him to do a video on a product or linus buys it and then reviews it?i just saw linus's profile in linked in,so asking these questions!

It's called monetisation and you're not old enough to make money. It's very easy to set up though

you would need to be partnered to youtube and have the money coming to google adsense account as for sponsors Linus has they send the products out and he reviews them and sometimes gets to keep them.

In this box you put AAAAAAALL your questions, then once a week we can have 'box dump day' where you ask us all your questions at once! How does that sound ?

Then you should be able to go to the monetisation tab when uploading and check to monetise

Adsense will only accept people over 18,your friends must be using a youtube account that says they're over 18,whoch everyone has

You have to be 18 legally, but You can use your parents as a means of getting your money... I think

It doesn't work like that, you wont make any money from YouTube for a very long time.

Step one: Get a real job.

You're not a YouTube partner.

 

Here's how it works in plain simple steps:

1. You start up with YouTube like every other person
2. You upload videos
3. If your videos get watched a lot (like 10000+ views), you'll get an e-mail from YouTube, telling you that you've been selected for a YouTube partnership and how you can activate it.
4. You activaate the partnership and turn on monetization on your videos

I have been reached out by Google to monetize my videos, after this video reached something like 15000 views. I opted not to do it as my account is purely for fun and I hate advertising

 

Also: don't expect to make any serious money out of it as long as you don't have like 150000 subscribers.
