Lenovo - Windows Clean Install no key on laptop but in bios?

OK I have no recovery partition so I can't factory reset.

 

I know the windows key is embedded in the bios now, however, where do I get the .iso to get a clean install?

 

I know the windows .iso will require a key so not sure if I have to enter or will accept it because its oem?.

Supposedly if you get a Windows ISO you will be able to run it without a key for a while if it doesn't pick it up.

Oh. I see. You now need the key to legitimately get the ISO.

I might be wrong but I thought Windows 7 keys were on a sticker on the bottom of the laptop while Windows 8+ keys were embedded in the BIOS. If it is in the BIOS though all you have to do is skip the key entry and it should automatically load it.

Sorry its windows 8 then, makes sense.

 

Where do I get the windows 8 iso, I know from reading you have to enter the key and some people with the same issue as me have had the same problem

Thanks, but that is the problem.

 

Some people have downloaded this and found people still need to enter a key.
