Ive seen people refer to 1440p as 2k well so who knows what he actually means

 

You get what you pay for, pick a budget and find whatever looks most aesthetically appealing to you that has come out within the last year or 2 and you should be set. I would steer away from offbrands just due to quality control reasons.
