Can someone tell me the difference between these three PSUs

Gidoguy

What's the difference between these three PSUs? in terms of whats in the box, how many devices it can power etc. I know that they're different wattage, i just need to know if it's worth spending that extra money.

Their wattage... That's the only difference.

They are all not that good for gaming PC's. Good for common use.

They all suck? LOL, Check my GUIDES section of my sig for the PSU buying guide. There are a lot of people here who will tell you that the CX series is a scary one and shouldnt be used unless you HAVE to.

I would go with something more on the teir 3 or 2 range just to save yourself from issues.

What components are you planning on having in your PC?

I know that they can all sufficiently run my computer, its just knowing whether its worth paying extra for the future.

The CX series PSUs are not known for being the greatest, however, build does matter.  What components are you looking at/have for your build?

While they may power your PC, if you are gaming, they are not adequate.

If you're not planning any upgrades then get the cheapest that has sufficient power to run your PC.

CLEANSE ME DADDY ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

i know they are fine for office PCs and are only rated to operate at 30*C.

I know they are also fine for builds with a 960 or 950 since those only sip power and dont produce enough heat to make a PC's ambient temperature rise above 30*C as long as your case is not a solid box.

I think i know what i should have in my signature now...

What would a good modular psu be for a gaming pc at a similar price?

If you're gonna be using them for the rig in your profile then look elsewhere, they're not good PSUs.

the cx 750 isn't built by the same oem as the lower tier/power units.

It's a higher quality (but not the greatest )psu with excelent voltage and ripple control.

AMD Ryzen R7 1700 (3.8ghz) w/ NH-D14, EVGA RTX 2080 XC (stock), 4*4GB DDR4 3000MT/s RAM, Gigabyte AB350-Gaming-3 MB, CX750M PSU, 1.5TB SDD + 7TB HDD, Phanteks enthoo pro case

If 500W is more than enough for his PC then the CX500 will be fine, it's not like it's high performance or anything.
