I must admit after being a COD supporter i am quite a bit disappointed with COD III the game is not that smooth, i miss not being able to pick up weapons etc.. or am i playing it wrong?

My EVGA GTX780 is now showing its age maybe i need to buy a new card for Chrimbo?

Any suggestions?

I tried...again mybe its me..but the only thing i got was ammo

Yeah, that happens in all the CoDs.

If you run over the same weapon you have in your primary or secondary slot, it just adds all the ammo of the gun on the ground to one of the guns in your inventory.

That's why you couldn't pick it up. That always happens.

make sure your GPU is on the latest drivers available to it. BOIII is not optimized at all unfortunately, and it EATS GPU and CPU and Memory. If you are running less than 16 gb of ram in your system, this is likely part of your issue with frame rates being low. The other issue is potentially "texture detail" it was glitched on launch day and if you had it set to "extra" you would have a world of issues it seems. Bumping it down to "high" fixed that.

I am running SLI 970 with a 4790k OC'd at 4.8ghz with 24gb 2400mhz ram - and I am able to maintain a 120 - 144 fps maxed out in surround config in the game running my monitors each at 1080p. . . the game runs incredibly well from the last update, again just suggest checking your GPU drivers, and if you have 8 gb of ram, you may need to upgrade. It's sad, but this game is the only one I run that literally eats my ram.

Yep, it is so badly optimized that on high settings my system can maintain 110FPS @1080p with an AMD FX-4300, 8GB of system ram, and a GTX 780.
