What would be the most reasonable option?

OneManCruel

HI guys, hope you're having a great weekend!

My soundcard on my motherboard is broken and the only thing to get audio from my pc is to by a cheap soundcard and plug in speakers, connect bluetooth speakers or buy a whole new motherboard.

whats the most reasonable here? i mean it would be gold to travel around with my notebook with actual working speakers instead of bringing a separate ones wherever i go.

This notebook is a Acer Aspire-V5-573G 750m gtx 4 GB ram

Intel Core i5-4200U 1.6Ghz

Windows 8.1 (Windows 10 now)

8 GB DDR3

Storage is 500 GB HDD

Thanks alot!!

Is the notebook still in warranty? If so, RMA it?

Are you sure it is broken? Maybe it's just the driver or something.

no, it is broken. It was an accident.

I bought the notebook approx 2½ years ago, i paid 700ish US dollars for it but a new motherboard will cost like 290$.

What would you do?
