Intel Vs. AMD Processors

Intel has less cores but they are faster. Intel has more cycles per second. AMD has more cores. AMD CPU's tend to have heat issues. People choose cheap AMD CPU's thinking they are better because they have more cores.

If gaming:

If you have under 120 dollars or so to spend on a CPU + motherboard: I would say AMD (Athlon 860K)

Above I would suggest Intel.

For rendering and stuff: I don't know.

Either way, it's just a matter of the exact situation.

Locked. I know you meant nothing behind it, but I also know where this is going.
