Pascal - Better SLI?

I've been doing a bit of reading on the new Nvidia Pascal cards. For consumer models it appears that they are planning to use a standardized PCI connector but this "NV Link" on consumer models seems to be a better way of connecting two or more cards. Does this mean we can expect more performance increases out of SLI setups?

Eh I'm hoping on Arctic Islands being better than Pascal... It'd really help out AMD if they managed to make something better and costed less than what Nvidia has.

Then again I'd just be happy if the 490X gets Fury (non-X) performance (with 8GB of HBM vram), runs cooler and cost about as much as a 390X. Though that wouldn't exactly be good for AMD because apparently people want more than just current (Late 2015) and older games at 1440p with ultra settings.

Hint: Pascal isn't featuring NVLink.

A lot of news sites say the opposite. Just google NV Link and Pascal and you should find dozens of sites.

How do you know they won't feature NVLink in Pascal?

Not in the consumer cards, at least. To me, no signs are pointing towards NVLink appearing on consumer Pascal cards.
