What is your Star Citizen rig?

Chas3T3ch

So this is my first topic on this account and I would like to make it a good start. Now I just made a Citizen account and would like to know what rigs other people are using or if your building dedicated rigs? My rig is still a WIP but I will post when it is finished and feel free to suggest anything I am open to ideas. Budget is no problem just nothing to out of the normal. I my self would put the average at $700 but mabey I am wrong? :D

Mine is all listed in my sig, and it runs just "fine" for me. (as far as SC can run fine on any system :P)

New to Star Citizen? Look no further!

Star Citizen can run fine on a 7870. Dunno why you'd need a dedicated machine for that one game.

haven't played it a while - the controls are too finicky for me - I use a mouse.

Mines like, "Oh wait? you've got more threads? why not just disregard the cpu and use all those stream processors?"

I was going to build a Star Citizen rig. I planned to go with a Xeon or i7, 16gb of RAM, and 980ti/390.

However, as the game keeps getting pushed back and delayed, I've given up on it.

I'd probably look at spending a little more than $700. I'd say $1,200 would be the sweet spot.

Until the game is fully released and optimized we won't really know for sure I don't think.

^ That's pretty much how I'm playing it at this point. Once we have an official release I'll look towards doing a new build again.

Right now I'm using a roughly 4-year-old system that has:

-i5-3570K OC'd to 4.2Ghz

-stock GTX 670 (although I forget if it's the Ti edition or not; think it is though)

-& 16 gigs of RAM

-This space intentionally left blank-

i7 3770K with 16GB RAM and a GTX970 (more details in my profile), I wouldn't call it my Star Citizen rig though just the rig I use for now, I'm holding out till next year (probably end of) to do a Kaby/Cannonlake/Zen and Pascal/Arctic Islands build, super hyped about next years tech so I've just been keeping my rig at a "good enough" state till I feel comfortable putting money down on more of a high end build.
