Background keeps going black.

jimenezarmando37

After having someone from technical support control my screen to help me diagnose a problem in my computer, my wallpaper went black and when I change it back, after a while goes back to black (my wallpaper was not the problem i was originally trying to fix). Can someone please help me, this thing is very annoying.

Is all of Explorer.exe failing on your desktop? Screen black, no task bar, no Start Menu? If so, then it's a driver issue or that remote user did something they shouldn't have.

Do you mean it goes to sleep? Are you not moving the mouse for a few minutes?

LOL I swear if it's this...

Is your copy of Windows activated? Mine did that before I activated it.

  • 4 weeks later...

explorer.exe crashing, happens every now and then for me too, Windows 8 Pro licence as well as now upgraded to Windows 10 Pro.

Never found a fix, but you could find more info by searching the event log start > run > eventevr

Is it possible that the remote client still has access to his computer?
