Someone explain to me exactly why EA sucks

Let's look at all the games and series they owned that went downhill due to stupid business tactics.

Mass effect (I don't even know wtf happeend here. The COD style dumbed down gameplay was depressing, though)

Spore (rushed)

Sim City (DRM and probably rushed)

Dragon Age (they probably cheaped out on writing or something)

Dead Space (micro transactions)

Best company ever. I'm sure I'm missing a ton of things they've done.

I don't get it spore is fantastic, mass effect and dead space have gotten positive reviews across the board, dragon age is a well liked series & sims is the killer app for casual gamers.

Hah, reviews. All EA has to do is slip a little money under the table and critics will rate 9/10. They also created origin so there's that.

Not just reviews anyone who played mass effect or dead space would rave about it.

Origin is fine I don't get the problem with it.

I just don't like how EA sees Steam, an established platform at the time, and says "Hmmm maybe we should make everyone make a separate account and use different software to access our games. That won't be annoying at all."

EA sees Steam as a good way to reduce profits and give money to the competition. That's why Origin exists.

Spore was pretty bad. the creature creation in the tech demos was a lot better than it was in the game. the civilization and space modes both stunk of being rushed. They had almost no depth.

I dont agree with that, maxis had to provide a game that was able to be picked up and played by anyone, the creature stage is pretty advanced but I do agree tribal civilazation & space got tedious.

Huge kudos to them though because the game runs at 1080p at low on my core 2 duo with no GPU and 1 gb of ram.
