Could you fight add block by making the hole page an ad?

No, it'll block the page  :P .

2. No, adblock would just block the page.

 

If you wanted to fight adblock, you'd need to do something like what ltt does with "sponsor spots" or whatever, where the ad is part of the actual video.

Excatly, people will need to disable it. You can make a message.

Ublock origin could filter out the ad part from the message. But adblock not so much

haven't got an ad in like 3 years, don't know why adblock doesn't work for people

I've heard about that a ton and have yet to see it myself except for when I turn adblock off and watch a playlist.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

having looked into it out of anger, i found out the actual reason is a partial block. It blocks the skip button and not the ad.

ive actually come across sites that have a popup that adblock cant kill that say "we see you're running an ad blocker, please disable it" and wont give access to the site.  i no longer go to those sites at all cuz fuck them

Wait so the unskippable add really is a thing? I thought it was a joke or something.

I run a combination of addblockers and never seen this happen.

I don't mind ads, but when they come up with the volume at full blast at night, it makes me want to strangle a cat.
