Look at it from her point of view. Someone wants to be your friend and starts talking to you. What do you do? Do you just curl up, put your face behind your knees and peer up occasionally to see if the person's still there? do you just ignore them or tell them to get lost? I'd hope not. Surely you'd be open to a conversation and/or a friendship? Just act normal around her. She's not gonna bite. She's just a person. The only major difference between guys and girls is what's between your legs, and in this case that should be regarded as totally irrelevant. Just freaking talk to her. Act as if she's a dude. You'll find that more often than not the interaction will be no different.
