I have no experience with Monoprice products, so I cannot vouch for them. I reckon it'd be better than a beat-up 12 incher (abused suspension with a leaking enclosure maybe), or a low cost 8 incher with a big brand.

 

I guess it's good for the price. Some people swear by this sub and Monoprice products in general. Logan from Tek Syndikate is one of the Monoprice fans. Though he's also the author of some videos about audio that I do not agree with, I don't think his choices are bad.

If you can go up to $140 I would suggest the Dayton 12" Sub. Pretty good bang for the buck. Gets down to 25hz.
