Why does the 'A' and 'S' use the same font as the letters on Asus's logo?

Space Journal #1: So Apparently i  was dropped on the moon like i'm a mars rover, in a matter of hours i have found the transformers on the dark side of the moon. Turns out its not that dark since dem robots are filled with lights, i waved hi to the Russians on the space station, turns out all those stories about space finding humans instead of the other way around is true(soviet Russia joke). They threw me some Heineken beer and I've been sitting staring at the people of this forum and earth since.

It was originally an ASUS spin-off to compete with Foxconn.

I think it's slightly different; the middle bit of ASUS' S has a slight curve to it.

Here's an overlay of the two so you can see the difference:

Pro Tip: don't use flash when taking pictures of your build; use a longer exposure instead. Prop up your camera with something (preferably a tripod) if necessary.

you learn something new every day, Then i dont understand why Asus doesnt use Asrock components on their motherboards, but uses foxconn stuff. then again im completely generalizing and dont have a single clue as to what manufacturer makes what on a motherboard itself.

ASRock was an ASUS clone.

And now ASRock is actually good.

too bad their website isnt as good as their motherboards, or any other website for that matter.

If it's anything like I deal with at work, we buy the components but do all the soldering work. In regards to company-"exclusive" stuff like ASUSes' chokes, they might make them in-house, but they may also outsource them. Though ASUS is big enough to make them I think.

Because Asrock don't make components, nor does Asus, none of them does, only Foxconn. Every motherboard you see, from the PCIe slots to those back I/O ports and even SATA ports are mostly made by Foxconn. Take a look at your board, there will be some components made by Foxconn.

Yea that's why i asked. If asrock was supposed to be a competitor to foxconn, then i was wondering why my asus board had Foxconn components
