ok , so yeah! i know core2 quad is not the best these days for gaming! but i need a decent CPU for my LGA755 socket to fill
right now i got core2 duo *cuz im a poor man* 

ok so what is the best core2 quad for price to performance ratio!??
and give me details of other core2 quads too if u guys can!

My Q8200 (2.33 GHZ) that you should buy from me because it's been for sale for a million years :P

But I believe the Q6600 is the best.

That's for converting an LGA 771 socket to 775 socket. His is already a 775 socket :)

over than the xeon mod, a q6600 is your best bet, make sure the stepping is G0 if it is it'll say SLACR on the cpu itself, these are much better overclockers than the older B3 (SL9UM)slacr.jpg

Q9300s are generally cheap and plentiful as well. But as mentioned the Q6600 is generally a great overclocker.

If you can find a QX9650 or similar they are absolute monsters, but they get up there in price.

yeah i dont think you could reach me , im in pakistan! (and boy ... does shopping for computer parts sucks here)

Consider a Core 2 Extreme... give ya better clock speeds.
