970 vs 780ti 144hz

Zoomv

Yes. If you are used to 60 there is a huge difference.

right now I am using a 60hz 21.5 inch monitor xD

Absolutely. You would enjoy 144hz more, but the processor wouldn't be able to run that fast. Just get the better processor now and wait to upgrade your monitor later.

wouldn't it be able to handle it even with a decent oc?

For BF4, the highest tickrate for a server is 40Hz, so it's not the best.

But, the game will look hella awesome!

To answer your question, on GPU boss, the 780ti beats the 970 in every test other than noise and power consumption. BUT! It has one less GB of RAM. If you want to play games other than BF4, get the 970.

The tick rate does not matter... it's the native refresh rate lmao. CS:GO is 64tick and 144hz makes all the difference.

Switching to 80hz on 1440p was such an eye opener. Now 60fps is just too choppy for me. People with 120hz/144hz monitors will agree

No, 144hz is more something you get used to, very few people notice it first time and if they claim to notice it first time its often a placebo.
