Audio Glitches When CPU Maxed Out

Hi guys, I will be listening to music on Pandora, Spotify, VLC, etc, while exporting a video, and once my CPU hits 100% I start to get audio skips or distortion every once in a while. It doesn't happen every time, but usually for the first few seconds after my CPU hits 100% I get maybe 9-10 skips lasting about 2 seconds each and about 5 seconds in between them. Is this normal, or is there a fix? I am on WIndows 10 if that helps.

thats normal

your PC media player requires CPU processing with 0 delay for playing audio

but why is your CPU at 100%...

God damn, what CPU do you have? If it's performing so badly that the audio driver is unable to communicate then you need an upgrade.

I can think you can tell by your CPU... I think time for an upgrade. Like everyone is saying... WHY IS IT 100%? You trying to kill it?

Well normally people don't use their PC while it's rendering...

Haha true, I just like to use it to watch YouTube while I wait for the rendering to finish.

yeah well thats what happens when your CPU is being used all for rendering

other programs dont work properly

you can either limit the rendering to a few of your cores or just not render while listening to music

Haha true, I just like to use it to watch YouTube while I wait for the rendering to finish.

Use one core to render and leave the other one to do other stuff.

But it is normal to have those issues when you try to do something else while you render something.

The stars died for you to be here today.

A locked bathroom in the right place can make all the difference in the world.

And you're doing this on a dual core CPU? No wonder the audio glitches.

Like I said, while I'm rendering and/or exporting video.

Try to lower the priority of the conpute intensive programm (render programm).

By doing so, the cpu should be able to keep the audio data buffer filled.

Mineral oil and 40 kg aluminium heat sinks are a perfect combination: 73 cores and a Titan X, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Oil
