Cheapest i5/Xeon Haswell/Skylake if you wait that long.
It's hard to beat those guys.

(there might be a Xeon at that price,  but no HyperThreading.)

For the Best builds and Price lists here is a world where many points of the price have been predefined already for your convenience!

The Xeon E3 1231 V3 IS BETTER Than the Core i5 4690K and a Significantly better value for the non-overclockers or value shoppers.

The OS is like a kind food, Try it before saying if you like it or don't.

For just $35 more than that you could get an i5-4690k which is kind of perfect for 1080p gaming. http://www.amazon.com/Intel-Core-i5-4690K-Processor-BX80646I54690K/dp/B00KPRWB9G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1443498695&sr=8-1&keywords=i5-4690k

4460 or Xeon 1231/1241

The best CPU for under 200$ is the Intel Core i5-4460 it won't bottleneck any modern GPU and will allow you to game at what ever resolution your GPU can handle. Also if needed down the road you can upgrade to a i7, where as if you went with AMD the best CPU you could get would be an AMD FX-8350 and that's still not as good as the i5-4460.

Hi guys!

So I'm very confused should I buy a Intel CPU or a AMD CPU and why?

My budget is around 200$ if that makes any diffrens and I'm planing to run GTA V at 1080p with the highest settings as possible.

Plz answer and thank you!

$200 for CPU only or both CPU and motherboard or the while computer?

Go with Intel. Third generation (3xxx) will be cheaper. 4th generation (4xxx) will be slightly faster.

Get a compatible motherboard.

You can't get a 200 dollar PC to play GTA V so don't even try. Get a expensive high end GPU. AMD or Nvidia don't matter.

It is right now (considering that even with the upcoming Skylake equivalent you probably want to buy pricer DDR4 memory anyway) and it will enable you to max out GTA V at 1080p provided your GPU can as well.

either what @KemoKa said, or drop to an i5 4460 and put the money elsewhere in the build.

in the future, please do not make 5 threads dealing with the same topic.

the community hates answering the same question over and over.

best to make a build application with a budget. these are the best in spending

your money wisely. what they can save you on the CPU/MoBo to get the best

GPU for best performance.
