Intel by far also if you really do have to go with AMD don't get anything over the FX-8350 but the socket that the FX series of processors run on is dead.

fx chips are 3 years old so think about that for a second.

Get the 6600K.

FX chips are old at this point and once you go 8-core you're pretty much done upgrading.

AMD cores are a lot less powerful than Intel's. Those eight cores have nothing on those four.
