Gta v low gpu usage

So I'm running gta v no aa, 1440p

Sli 980tis low gpu usage around 50 fps

And 40 percent usage on both

Vsync is off but I'm using a g sync monitor 144hz

Any ideas ??

GTA V is very CPU demanding, perhaps turn off background programs to free up some CPU cycles?

Update your rig details if this is true, and try disabling SLi to see if performance increases, SLi/CF ask more from the CPU.

I'm around 75-90FPS in GTA V at 1080p on my single R9 390, so i doubt it is your GPU's unless your drivers are acting up, i think it's all down to the CPU here, as i said though two cards will use way more CPU overhead for games.

Iv got a 4790k running at 4.7 on all cores and only 50 percent usage tho

No I haven't disabled it bro

I'm normally ok at working stuff out but gtav is picklin me

Then try it, as i said two cards can cause adverse performance, i know from past dealings.

G-sync is a feature for when FPS is bellow 60 - it might also come with a hard lock at 50.
