PC positioning

I am wondering whether I should my pc on my desk and which way, it is currently horizontal |  - |. 

Would I be better off putting it on the floor or placing it vertical |  I|.
I have the Corsair Carbide Spec 03, if that helps.

I found that having the PC on the floor tends to have it pull in more dust for some reason.

Ever since I moved it onto a storage rack there's been noticeably less dust buildup on the filters.

 

I'd say you're better off having it vertical on the desk, if you have enough space

Dont place it on Floor directly. 10cm above are enough to reduce the dust alot.

Build a little platform to put under your PC and put it on the floor vertically. As long as you don't have it directly on the carpet, there's no harm IMO

I got mine on the desk vertical with the window facing so everyone one in the room can see into the computer.

It is well known that if you put your case on the floor more dust will get inside.

Vertical on the desk is a better place.

Built mine out of ~10cm legs from ikea and 3 dollars worth of chipboard. Works like a charm.

If you have room on your desk then yeah, go for it, but if you don't then put it on the floor. If your floor is soft carpet I'd recommend putting two piece of wood or thick books under the feet to give it some elevation for breathing. Also be aware that dust will more than likely accumulate more if it's placed on the floor.

I wouldn't put my computer anywhere near the floor.

The floor just tends to be a much dustier place and that dust will get sucked straight into the computer when it's disturbed.

Mine's about 1m off the floor right now. Noticeably less dust on the filters
