This was me at my last job. I was like "typing... can I bring in my own keyboard" and my employer was like "hell yeah."

and data entry is so much easier when you have one of logitech's scroll wheels.

This was me in school when all the computers were slow AF so I just brought in my SSD-driven laptop. Fastest computer in the school.

Yup. Try typing in a notes for a work order on a TKL membrane point-of-sale keyboard. Can't find an image, but yeah. No.

EDIT: No mouse natively either, just touchscreen POS or trackpad on the keyboard.

  1. The pain the ass of having to reinstall Windows when buying a new boot SSD

Desktop icons being rearranged after streaming to shield (or in my case, my phone)

The lack of transportability/desk space requirements with big desktops

Kodi or other software can be buggy if trying to navigate with ONLY controller

Water cooling leaks

Finding out what component won't let the PC boot

Spending hours trying to create perfect fan curves

Spending hours on here and PCPartpicker picking out specs/building PCs

Spending hours learning how to build a PC and what specs work best

Having to spend more money on the tower and peripherals

Gaming laptop kicks out too much heat/is too bulky/battery life is too short

Having a multi-GPU setup micro stutter, games don't work with other GPUs

Driver updates/OS updates or lack thereof fucks up your PC

Finding out your brand new component doesn't fit in the case (especially SFF cases)

Finding out that you have to upgrade additional components when that brand new component doesn't work with the current hardware config

Having something short out or creating sparks

Knocking over the entire PC (earthquakes if you don't believe that kind of an accident can happen)

Follow the topics you create using the "Follow" button in the top right corner!

One day I will have my GTX 970. One day. PC specs are at my profile.

Not sure how to check what part works with what? Check out my compatibility guide!

Weird screen res combo (main display is 1650x1050 and secondary is 1280x1024). Because I use spanned wallpapers, they need to be at least 8k for them not to look like utter shit.

I managed to get it stable at 4.8GHz but I gave up on tweaking it. Went back to stock clocks since I don't trust my current TIM and I want to get an extra fan on the rad. The wiki page is severely outdated. I should probably fix that but I got hooked on D3 again so no chance of that real soon :P

My last firestrike bench was at 1080MHz and I can bump it up to 1120 in Gaming mode, but that gave me a bit of a headache after upgrading to Win10

I'm probably going to get back onto overclocking the CPU and the GPU once November hits (or slightly chillier weather. Room temp skyrockets - I was sitting at 36C on Sunday morning and had to turn the AC on at 16C just so I could get to a more tolerable 24-26C -, since the PC is on pretty much 24/7 and I can't have the AC on all the time since I don't live alone and it's not in my room)

CPU-Z of my highest stable OC :D

Sheet on highest I've ever managed to get. Kept stable for about 12 hours during bench, then it crashed forcing me to go back to stock: http://valid.x86.fr/ityw79
