Please run ethernet through/around the exterior of your house.

Otherwise, get a set of powerline adapters that has good reviews for a decent price and hope for the best. You should almost always get better performance with powerline than wifi and much more consistent pings.

Powerline ethernet mainly give more reliable connections via ethernet as long as the wiring in your home isn't very old since it uses those to transmit the data.

and there shouldnt be any breakers/fuses/surge protectors in between the powerline jacks

or that can affect your speeds

I got a pair of TP-Lin TL-PA411 becuse my room is about 50m from out router, throu wifi right next to it i get 150/125 and throu the powerlines i get 75/70 so they are a bit slower and if you can just get a cat5 cable and wire it your computer

I am using powerline, and gotta say they are solid, used it so I have an ethernet port for my pc works great

well i went out and picked up a tp-link tl-pa4010kit and it worked strait away getting solid speeds very close to what i get by just plugging in my pc directly to my router
