Overnight my M4A1-S Guardian has lost most of it's value. I was confused as to why this happened. I looked around at some other skins and it appears a lot of the M4A4 skins have DOUBLED in value.

The M4A1-S has been totally nerfed ( reducing the rate of fire) , making it nearly worthless over the normal un-silenced M4A4. The M4A4 does about the same amount of damage as the M4A1-S at close-ish range, with the addition of 3X the amount of bullets per clip.

It's funny cause in the shadow case the new red skin is an M4-S skin, found it a bit ironic.

 

PS THOSE SHADOW DAGGERS ARE SCHWEET  lolol jk those things are butt plugs.

 

They're ok, I guess, but the M9-Bayonet still reigns king.

well they nerfed the M4A1s so maybe more people are using the A4 now but in a game someone said they nerfed the A4 he could of met the A1 but idk

Somebody explain me, do the skins have any other effect on the guns than the looks?

 

Like, do they make them more accurate, damaging or anything like that?

 

Last time I was excited about Counter Strike, was when 1.6 was new..

That's what I thought. I was confused because I accidentally read some of the posts like someone nerfed the skins. And I thought to myself, how can you nerf a skin?

Nah, they nerfed a gun which made its skins fall in price and its counterparts skins raise in price.

I think it's fascinating(compared to the actual game at least) how diverse the Counter Strike skin economy really is. Like seriously, kids could actually learn something from this game.

Yup. Most of the lower end skins on the market are put up in bulk by bots and auto undercut.

The M4A1-S was nerfed to be even more inferior than the AK.

 

Now the M4A4 is better because it has a bodyshot DPS advantage due to the faster fire speed.

The prices should stabilize sooner or later. This is a great opportunity to make some profit by buying m4a1-s skins 10€ cheaper and selling them once the prices go back to normal.
