cost for a used 980 referance card

Ok i have a hd7970 OC ghz edition card and a guy is willing to trade me a reference 980 for it if i add cash.... how much should i add?

The 980 is card only.... no box or paper work and he IS willing to show it working.

go on craigslist for your area look up hd7970 oc, look up 980 see diffrence offer about that.

$345 (What I calue his card at) - $75 (what I value your card) = $270

That is what I would pay.

add 50-100$ with 150$ being your absolute max!  Start at 40 and if he doesn't like it say you can do 50$ and explain your gripes all the while.  It's marketing 101.  Also do a VERY extensive test on that 980 because it's pretty sketch.  Why would he trade it away for a 7960...

I did, no one has 7970s and i cant find prices online for the ghz edition that i have.

Thats why im asking here what people HERE would pay for the 980 and for the 7970ghz edition so i can guess at a price to add in cash to the deal

If he lets you test the card have him run furmark for 15 minutes if it passes that i would not hesitate giving 200-250 plus the 7970.It is hard to find a reference GTX 980 for under $450 and a used 7970 is worth $200 you can find them all over for that.I traded an R9 290X plus 150 cash for one and do not regret it one bit.I would start at $175 but do not go above $250.If you can get it for $200 plus the 7970 its a steal in my book i say go for it
