I get the ebay thing when it's an individual seller selling used items, they don't want people to list their own items and sell them here.  But when it's a company, like Newegg on ebay, and the product is brand new, the outrage seems misguided.

I see it as $10.49, but directly under the buy now button is another link that says "59 offers from $8.69"

I agree.

 

It's also irritating that these larger companies use eBay for anything at all. Most companies will not accept an eBay receipt for warranty services.
