VPN on PC using Bluestacks.

Fictionvl
Go to solution Solved by manikyath,

I hope so, one more question, is this 100% legal?

it is legal, as in "you wont get arrested for it"

if your sysadmins are assholes they might get pissed off about it tho.

Hey everyone!

so I have a little problem, my university blocks almost every gaming server/port out there

meaning, I can't play any steam games, origin games, or even indie games, because of this.

also note that my university also blocks every VPN website, so I can't download/use a VPN

but I've heard a way using bluestacks as a proxy/vpn but I have no idea how to do it.

so if anyone that knows about this please please don't hesitate by informing on how, as I will soon need to move out of my house and I don't have a place to put my PC other than my room in the university.

4G hostspot from your phone? Although, this would not be enough for gaming I guess.

Is this an apartment that you live in?

I can't use 4G, I can't explain, pretty complicated.

I currently live in my house with my parents and brothers, we're soon going to be building a new house, so for about a year and a half, I have to basically keep all of my stuff away.

School is a place to Study not Play, or you could just bring a Mobile Hotspot

Except its a university and I have to live there. Also studying for long hours is sufficiently proven that it doesn't help you get smarter. its good to do other activities, and one of which is me using my computer.

Also I could do that, if only I didn't have a data limit on it.

because you're not supposed to play games at your university.

the network is for class purposes, its not "free limitless wifi"

What you don't get is the fact that I enjoy playing games, and not being able to do that for about a year and a half is going to drive me nuts, I can't have fun with my friends or anything like that? I mean I can play sports but some nights I just want to chill and play you know?

also I know "Im at a uni and I have to study and what not" but come on, there are breaks I can have

so you're saying this is also the case at your dorm?

if thats the case, collect a fund with your fellow dorm buddies, and rent a VPS semi-local to you, then just use whatever vpn protocol you prefer most to connect there.

the thing with it being your own server is that you have management over it, and you can display it as a "research project" if they ask you what you're doing.

chances are the sysadmins will be impressed with you getting out of the network, rather than be pissed at you.
