I don't really like apple, I only like the 5K Imac but damn that Ipad pro! I have never been more excited for a tablet! Ultimate college machine? What about you guys

i still think the ultimate college machine would be a windows laptop.

well, after your brain being the most important college machine (hopefully), I think any ipad/surface pro, or mba does the job just fine. (for me it is mostly goodnotes/drawings and the rest i do on my PC anyways)

If one does not fail at times, then one has not challenged himself.

Nexus 7? Google tablets?

ive tried a few tablets and i just dont like android, never have never will, not that im an apple fanboy, i just cant get on with them.

Logged in to post this, but their customers who will buy that are 2 people 1)brainwashed 2)people who can afford it.  you wouldn't expect the regular student to buy the extra $99..

more cores doesnt mean faster.... ive tried other samsung tabs and they were shite.

Its fast if you flash cm12.1 on there, but if you keep the os the same th2 air 2 is faster

That's the same as saying an fx 8350 is faster than an i7 6700k because 8 cores vs 4

Yep but Ipad has a peasantry IPS screen while the Samsung one has a glorious OLED one.

Oled offers deeper blacks/colors and better viewing angles which most people don't really care about. Ips offers sharper and more realistic images, better display life, better sunlight readability and is cheaper to produce

its funny because last year  when the s5 was released people were like "mate it has a quad core" and the 5s was just as fast and its dual core, i have had both btw.

 

its all personal taste but every tablet i have tried has felt sluggish expect for the ipads with the exception of the mini

Lmao IPS more realistic images... get out of here. What do you think people do on their tablets the most? Watch movies/YouTube or play games.

Better sunlight readability? Why do you think all smartwatches have OLED display?

 

Can't wait for a Nvidia Shield 2 with maybe a mobile laptop gpu in it and a 10 inch 1440P oled display
