Having a real panic attack for the first time ever right now

Hunched

6am so nobody to talk to, heart racing and focusing on breathing and thinking calm thoughts. Feels like I've lost all touch with myself, reality, and my sanity.

No idea why in the fuck this is happening but it's never happened before and came out of nowhere and I'm having nearly every symptom of a panic attack after a quick Google search.

This might be because of a lack of sleep and recent increase in coffee consumption, I've also barely eaten anything lately. I'm a fucking genius!

So what's up?

I'm watching Twitch and telling myself I'm not going to die in a dark room because I don't know what the fuck else to do to pass this.

I don't know how some people deal with this regularly, I hope this is a one time thing for me, it's pretty fucking intense, a real trial of self control.

???????????????????????????

You tell me!

I feel like I'm going to die for no reason out of the blue.

Maybe I shouldn't be posting on the internet because I'm sure I look like a retard right now.

I don't know how to deal with this shit. I was browsing around here too to pass the time.

First off, turn on the light. Being in the dark doesn't help.

Second, get some food. NOW.

Once you've eaten, lie down, calmly inhale and exhale.

Try to get some sleep if you haven't had any

It sounds to me like a mix of poor nourishment, sleep deprivation and overdoing the caffeine intake.

I have diagnosed GAD. What i usually do in during a panic attack is try to rationalize. What i do is try to think of the odds. Like for instance i'll go through things in my heads. For example i'm driving down the highway, how high are the odds that i'll die in a car crash? Slim to none right? So think of it like that maybe. Think to yourself what are the actual odds of you dying in a dark room? Highly slim to none. Just take a deep breathe. It'll pass.

For me cooling myself down works, if its cool outside go and get some air, next best thing is splash your face with cold water.

That's just what works for me.

I ate some crackers and drank some water but I feel like I'm going to throw up, I've never had so much trouble eating 2 crackers.

I've been focusing on my breathing this whole time, and I'm in no state to attempt sleep haha...

It is a mix of all of those things, I didn't expect this shit to happen though. I've never had problems, this went from 0 to 100 real fast.

A couple of crackers isn't food. Once you feel a bit better/calmer, try to eat some real food. The nausea would restrict your possibilities, so try to stay away from exceedingly fatty food.

Toast some bread, add some butter and make yourself a nice cup of herbal tea (nothing fancy, definitely not black).

It's just your body telling you to take a chill pill and get some rest

Its ok, just eat regularly and healthy amount. Like a warm meal you get at restaurant, not bread and water.

Even in prison they get proper meal hehehe. Eat regularly and you are good.

Also meditate and listen to ASMR. Very relaxing. I recommend Empheral Rift.

I can't meditate or attempt sleep or anything like that right now.

Every time I stop focusing and just look at my wall or something for a second, my heart starts speeding up because I start noticing how disconnected I feel from everything.

It's a scary feeling I can't quite describe, disconnected may not be the right word but it's close.

I think I need to feel present and focused and engaged in something, I have all this energy and I can't just make it disappear, I need to try to use it up in a positive way.

If I try to do nothing or relax all that energy stays there and just turns bad.

When I start reading something or thinking other thoughts my heart slows down.

I don't know, I probably sound crazy right now, I feel like I am so it's justified lol

I was having a serious panic attack a few weeks ago. It was my second ever, and it was horrible. I couldn't do anything to help myself. Until I took a cinnamon pill! It helped and my heart beat went down and I could sleep without feeling like I was having an asthma attack.

Maybe it will help you some. :) There are other things to take too, like magnesium. It helps too!

It seems to have passed but I don't feel normal still, scared it could snap back at any second.

If I stop being preoccupied and just do nothing for even 5 seconds I feel somewhat like I did when it was all happening and fear it's about to happen again.

The scary thing is just how it came out of nowhere.

Maybe it will take a day or so to snap back to normal, but even now that I feel better I constantly feel like I'm on the edge of it happening again so I'm not really back to normal or relaxed...

I'll probably trigger the fucking thing again if I keep worrying about it happening again...

I'd like to be alone with my thoughts and feel comfortable again, I really hope this wasn't the beginning of something.

Fuck man. This sucks so much  :(

Please don't be a thing

Reading helps. Read like magazine. Or something booring. Or something like nature magazine. Kids magazine. Computer magazine. A book about tech or nature. Nature books are awesome, i have one fat one. Good.

Put asmr mp3 on your phone. Use mp3 fiber download empheral rift asmr from yt.  You can listen to it while reading (headphones or earphones) or just alone. TIngly and relaxing.

Yeah thats just fear. I learned to cope with it, and now i dont even care anymore.

I got atack? Great, go ahead and let it pass. Give me more scumbag brain!!! I Haha.

Also observe what is happening while i have it. It passes. Also shaky feeling afterwards is normal.

Nothing special. Now i dont even have them anymore (or i dont remember when it was last) .

And i dont care if i have one.

Its a positive experience, you learn from experiences like theese and look on bright side, positive thinking. You know, look everything from positive side.

Etc..

You know, you have to feed brain with food. And also relaxation. Hobbies. I was also malnurished when i had my atacks, i was working phyisically but i was eating one sandwich for 12 houres LOL.

Regular eating makes sure your brain chemicals/whatever and stuff is balanced etc...

Btw i edited this post, extra stuff some

Yea if anything this is a wake up call.

Imma lay off the coffee for a bit and try to eat healthier and more, and to get more exercise.

I need to go try to sleep for a bit but I'm honestly really scared to be alone with my thoughts right now, but staying up for another 20 hours straight is going to make this happen again.

I'm going to see my doctor today too.

I feel like a different person right now, I hate it. It's like parts of the panic attack are still lingering and I feel they could rise up again it fucking sucks so much.

I really hope if I can fall asleep right now that when I wake up I feel like myself again.

Just the way it sneaks up on you and can make life shit for hours sucks. There doesn't seem to be much of a trigger to avoid, it just happened and I was feeling fine seconds before.

I need to not be constantly fearful of it happening, I need to fix that, but when everythings fine and that can happen in the blink of an eye I'm not quite sure how to get it off my mind.

Not knowing when it will happen and not being able to prevent it might even be worse than it actually happening

It makes it hard to enjoy myself

At least it probably won't happen again for a while, it can't happen too frequently. I mean from my basic understanding it's the flight or fight response and a bunch of chemicals being released, that can't happen too often, the body needs to replenish and all that. I think, I hope.
