Ok so for the past week in every video ive seen people have been upset and saying that Linus media is payed to give a good review and he has too to get sent more free stuff. i think its time everyone opened there eyes and learnt a few things. i have no idea were to start so lets just go through a few things.....

Some facts about business :

There is no point getting upset about them adding in ad and sponsor spots, im sure they wouldnt do it if they didnt need to or had a magic money tree with endless funds its not like it makes viewers happy,. the fact is  Linus media group has 10 employees working off round numbers lets say they each get payed 1000 each week, he has to provide a wage for himself to support his family, a building to pay for, bills to pay, insurance on the building and business not to mention the staff. and thats just to start with. im guessing,  linus media group need at least $20,000 per week income after tax, and thats never going to happen from just youtube so just deal with the ads people its 30 sec of your life.

Secondly everyone seems to think that the videos are payed for, and they have to give a good review, clearly they dont always give good reviews and from what ive seen are very honest about everything and even very picky about the small details, they even say at the start of videos that things were sent ect, for like the apple stuff linus brought them so there defently following the guidelines. And clearly theres a differnce between been payed to show an item in the background and not chat about it and telling people to by it.  yes nvidia and intel have a good working relationship with linus media group thats how bussiness works people.  but think about it who is less likely to sell out a Linus media group who are provided 1000s of items for review every year and even if there not sent a item they can just buy it through the business and claim it on tax so it still works out to be FREE!  or a new youtuber who gets nothing, im pretty sure if nvidia sent an new youtuber a titan x he you piss himself and give it the best review ever. and im sure if AMD sent them 6 R9 furys x they would of differently done a video about it. so stop been fanboys and been one sided.

The reason we see so much about intel and nvidia are because they used them in there set ups and luke had been saying for ages he wanted to do a reveiw about the difference in GPU performance nvidia probably saw that and though hell if we send them $1500 worth of cards which is probably all its cost them to make 6 titans they are going to make a video thats the cheapest advertisement ever.

And seriously who cares if they get to keep one one or not, the reason they like to keep them is so they can use them for filming later on. its a show linus himself has said it, he wants it to become a "show" about technology not a unboxing channel. that means its entertaining and enjoyable to watch so they need the hardware to actually show you not just saying this is what the other one was and then this is what the new one is, id rather see them both side by side.

lastly before i go on forever about this all, seriously think about it any time they give a good review about a very expensive item such as graphic cards or monitors they always have the data to back themselves up with from there tests and benchmarks, not to mention all the info thats on the products you are buying, yes they can influence you to buy things but at the end of the day you still need to do your homework when buying things if your going to buy a 4k monitor or titan x just because he had one, if you have no idea if your system can handle it and run at peak performance then really should you be building your own systems ect. im pretty sure you more likely to get the right information here then the sales man at the store who will sell you anything and blow smoke up your ass just to make you think your getting a good deal.

ok im done im sure this is going to start alot more shit but think seriously people please dont just see things from one side of the argument.

no, he already talked about this

he doesnt sell out

he actually tells the manufacturer that he is going to do an honest review, not say the product is good for money

manufacturers like corsair send him stuff to review, and if its bad linus says its a piece of crap and they should improve

if its good, then he truly thinks so

and when a product review is really bad, and the manufacturer wont send one to him, he buys it himself to review

a lot of the stuff he reviews is actually bought with his own money, not sent for free

Linus has never accepted money to give a good review. He has always been honest. Anyone that says otherwise is either a troll or a hater.

There will always be those people we just need to stop giving them attention.

I agree with the conclusion, if not the reasoning. If he did sell out, Linus wouldn't say it. If I sold out i would still say I didn't. Also, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but don't tax deductions work with you writing something down as a business expense for example, then that being essentially taken off of the amount you are taxed on, not directly out of taxes meaning he only gets 10% off or so not the entire thing essentially free?

Tip to those that are new on LTT forum- quote a post so that the person you are quoting gets a notification, otherwise they'll have no idea that you did. You can also use a tag such as @Ryoutarou97 (replace my username with anyone's. You should get a dropdown after you type the "@")to send a notification, but quoting is preferable.

Feel free to PM me about absolutely anything be it tech, math, literature, etc. I'll try my best to help. I'm currently looking for a cheap used build for around $25 to set up as a home server if anyone is selling.

If you are a native speaker please use proper English if you can. Punctuation, capitalization, and spelling are as important to making your message readable as proper night theme formatting is.

My build is fully operational, but won't be posted until after I get a GPU in it and the case arted up.
