Just built a new pc and now need a new keyboard (Mechanical).

So i just finished my new pc and want to get a nice mechanical keyboard. I know I want cherry mx blue switches and my mouse is blue as well as my pc color scheme, so it would also be nice if the keyboard was blue. My budget is up to 150 USD.

mine isn't the fanciest, but I got it because 
1. Filco OEM
2. Extremely good build quality

3. Blue Switches
4. Epic backlighting

I am talking about my CM Quickfire TK, pretty good, not as fancy as a ducky, but those features are just a paid premium for what? lightning features you'll never practically use?

Wow, I'd to stop myuself from hitting the 'Add To Cart' tab when I saw this:

  • Glossy black upper enclosure and matching black USB cable - Darth Vader approved .......LMAO! :D 
 

With a 150USD budget, I'd suggest a DS2 or DS3 with Blue backlight and with Cherry Blue switch that the OP prefers. Das is nice, but no backlight, and I've heard that the shiny surface's a fingerprint magnet......I'm superficial, other than that, everything else great! B)

 

As for the Quick Fire TK, a good alternative to DS2 and DS3 in a hybrid TKL form factor...below is a pic of mine.

you know that you don't actually SEE the switch right?  as it all switches are the same color 'on the outside'

D'oh, missed that.....OP, you can't see the switches, just the LED backlight, in this case, you'd want it to be blue to match the blue motif. That raises the question, have you even tried the various switches in the first place?
