What monitor should I get for a competitive CSGO player?

I play CSGO rather competitively and after playing on a friend's monitor i've noticed that the monitor i have is not the best one i can have. I have tried to do some research to see what would be the best one to get but it is a lot of information and would rather someone just give me a recommendation.

 

I am open to all sizes of monitors as long as it is 1920-1080p

I would say just a 24 inch one with 2 or 1ms. If you have money a 144hz one would be even better

depending on how serious you are you may want a 27 inch at 1080p. I am not saying it's the most ethical thing on earth but sometimes being able to see pixels can come in handy with that game. BenQ has a really nice 27 inch...xl 2720 z I belive...they also make a 24 inch verion of that same monitor.

there isnt a single competitive csgo player above open leagues who doesnt use 144hz.  makes hitting a moving target 20x easier and spray control is much more consistent.

Get the asus VG248QE It's what I have and it's super good for csgo and battlefield 4. 

 

A side note: The last ESL tournament that was a few weeks ago used this screen

AOC G2460F, 1ms response time, 1080p, 144hz, 200$ ish... oh and 24inches.

If you want to get into competitive CSGO you NEED a 144hz monitor so I'd start there. 

A really good option that has stuff like black equalizer and digital vibrance built in is the BenQ xl2430T, it's an awesome option and the choice of a lot of pro players and CSGO tournaments

That might be the Res you play on in-game but you shouldn't be buying a 1024x768 monitor...

Again, that tradition came from the early days of CS!

almost every pro uses a 24 inch monitor.  every single major LAN event uses 24 inch monitors aswell.  stop spewing false info.

Many pros still play at 4:3, both black bar and stretched.  theres actually only a handful right now who use 16:9, namely shroud.

why would a pro even get such a big monitor, it decreases reaction time as theres more things being displayed on the screen so spot on reply.
