10 keyless - Yay or Nay?

As a 10 keyless keyboard owner, with plenty of previous experience with full size keyboards, I am curious as to what my fellow gamer or just daily computer user (accountant or bank manager aside) uses his or her number pad for, and if they think it is a necessary part of a keyboard.  :)

For typing strings of numbers quickly and entering my pins.
Use as a form of control in some games.
Not essential, but I'm happier with one.

I can type fairly fast using the top number row so a number pad is easy for me to live without.  But, a num pad can be usefull for things like hotkeys, which is why my new keyboard is going to be a Quickfire TK.

I will probably move to a 10 keyless for my next board. I rarely use it.

there are only 2 things i use a numpad for: piloting in GTA V, and creating symbols, like ° (alt + 2 + 4 + 8) that is why I am looking at the G310 (baby G910)

I prefer the tenkeyless design as I never use the numpad, really. It makes the keyboard shorter, which is nice. It gives me more breathing room for my mouse movements :P

I have a num pad but use it so rarely that i wouldn't mind having the extra space that a tenkeyless offers :)

Bleigh!  Ever hear of AC series?

I have a numpad, though I've never touched it, never. I find the top row of numbers to be much easier for a reason.

Intel i5-6600k (Cooled by a 212 evo) - Asus Z170-A - Asus Dual OC GTX 1060 - NZXT S340 - WD 1TB (Getting SSD this month, hopefully) - 8GB DDR4-2400

LG G4 - Asus Zenwatch 2

NumPad>Top row keys

Its just faster due to the layout of the keys and position (left hand can stay on letters and right hand naturaly on the right side)

I own K70rgb with numpad and it seems pretty small to me already. In fact i was surprised how small and sexy the keyboard is.

Excel and Calculator.

And for games that mostly use a keyboard, I prefer my movement to be on Numpad 8/4/5/6 rather than arrow keys or WASD.

I own and use, sorted from newest to oldest: SteelSeries 6Gv2. Microsoft SideWinder X4. Mionix Naos 7000. Zowie EC1 Evo. Microsoft SideWinder X8. Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0. Dell U2414H. Samsung P2270H. AKG K273 Pro. Sennheiser HD555. Razer Goliathus Speed Medium. Func 1030 L. Qpad CT Medium.

I used to own: Razer DeathAdder 3G. Razer Krait. IntelliMouse Optical 1.1. SteelSeries QcK.

when putting in passwords or the like I always use the number row above the alphabet keys.  Don't know why I just always have

but when putting in straight numbers like for excel, an e-mail, calculator, and other things I can't think of at the moment I use the number pad.

when I eventually upgrade to a gaming keyboard it will need to have a number pad. I do some of my work at home and I know it will drive me nuts going to use something that isn't there.

if you need to know how much of a problem going keyless will be for you try placing a sheet of paper over your current one and tape it down.

That way you will notice whenever you go to use it vs. trying to remember how often.
