Cheapest budget pc ram (8GB)

What's the cheapest ram for a budget pc? I need to upgrade my allready lacking "gaming" rig and I was wondering what the cheapest ram is. I dont need more then 8Gb and currently I have 4 which is always fully in use when playing video games, thus the upgrade.

Current specs:

Motherboard: I don't really know, has support for 2 sticks of ddr3 ram though.

Cpu: i3-2130 (3.40GHz, dual core)

gpu: XFX r7 260x 1GB

psu: cx430w

storage: 1TB hdd

Ram: 4GB, 1333 MHz

thanks in advance,

That13thGuy

As long as you're not hindered by the RAM being 90% used.. Why upgrade it?

If you have stuttering while gaming, you should check your VRAM usage instead. 1GB is not enough for todays standards, and i highly doubt if RAM is your solution.

does it matter if you won't need more?

8GB stick just a bit more expensive more than 4GB stick

I got 16GB of 1600MHz Crucial Ballistix Sport, for pretty cheap. They're ugly as F, but work like a charm.

the problem is not that my games are stuttering, I have a feeling my ram might be a bottleneck since the only thing in my pc thats even close to being fully used is the ram, which is at 98% at all times and without closing all my programs like steam, curse, skype etc. gta 5 starts to stutter where if I power all of those off it doesnt, I just want to run all my programs in the background and play video games, it's just a pain in my rear.

If that's the case then you might want to upgrade your GPU too. But yeah , The Crucial Ballistix Sport is good and cheap.

you would be wrong it really is! I mean it runs well enouph on almost everyting put on "medium" with around 45 fps, but I run it on a 1366x768 display, on that resolution so I can run the game with higher settings and it doesn't have to up/down scale. Which in my opinion makes the game look better then 1080p low settings... Oops I mean "medium" ;)

I would upgrade that PSU.

It is really not neseceary, I used to run it on an old 225w psu and I upgraded for safety and it works like a charm

It's just not a good PSU in general. Just giving some advice. I would get a higher quality one.

how is it not good? I'm not being savage I would just really like to know because most budget pc builds I've seen use this psu in specific, and that's the mean reason I got it; a lot of people seem to like it...
