Did EA just raise the prices of BF4 and mark them on sale?

JESUSARIUS REX

Now, I could have sworn the prices were lower for the premium edition of BF4 and BF4 premium. I remember the game being $20, premium edition being $25, and premium being about $20 too? Maybe I'm not remembering correctly, but I swear the prices are now higher. I'm also almost 100% sure that the BF3 premium edition wasn't $40... If anyone can prove me right or wrong that would be great.

It looks about right to me. You may find that they were on a big sale when you last checked the prices, but they went back to normal, and are now on a smaller sale?

Either way, It's not something I'm fussed about. Considering what you get, $33.50 isn't bad for BF4 Premium. Also, I'm actually pretty happy with EA right now, they seem to have genuinely improved the way they do business. It's been a long time since they've annoyed me with something stupid. Maybe we have Ubisoft and WB to thank.

I'm actually happy with EA for now. They have a history of doing crap like that, but recently, they seem to be doing well, both as a business and for their customers.

The games were on sale for awhile. Everything was 50% off and I suppose the sale ended. I picked up BF4 for 10 dollars and premium for 20 bucks during the sale.

Stuff like this regularly happens with a lot of products (Not just games). You'd be surprised how often it happens.

and we will live such tragedy in perpetuity.

I had been following the prices for weeks because I wanted BF4 premium. So either they had a multi week sale or they pulled a fast one.

Nah, they were just putting the shark card on sale basically. Cheaper microtransactions. Also, Steam don't put things on sale. The publisher does.

@OP Pretty sure Premium has always cost more than the game. (apart from release prices).

That is a very common sales tactic, with proven effectiveness.
