Keep 980 or wait three weeks for 980ti?

Hello

 

I went to get the 980ti today but the store has to special order them.  It will take three weeks.

 

I havent opened the 980 MSi I bourght yet so I can still take it back and pay the difference and get the 980ti but three weeks is a long time.

 

The reason why I want the 980ti is for prodcutivity work(3D Design and rendering, etc.

 

 

Opinions?

Get 980ti. It's basically a titan X

Like all posts of this nature I would check to make sure the programs you're using are optimised for cuda. A lot work on openCL, and direct compute which are not supported by consumer grade nividea cards.

Actually I'd like to see dueling 970's....first one to get their shot off wins....At least if it's aimed right. and doesn't only go 7/8ths of the distance.....

Depends if you have the money sure why not get the TI but the 980 itself is still a VERY capable card.

So Why'd you buy the 980 to begin with, and what made you decide you now want a 980 ti?

Wut? 980 is faster and a lot cooler, it was a good upgrade for those who didn't have 780 ti.
