Why are you making a new thread?

Anyways.

You must add milk.

The cooler isnt that good. Neither is the PSU.

Do you need those fans?

Save some money get less fans, maybe get a cheaper mobo like the SLI krait, get the 390 if you want future proof and get a better PSU you can get the Seasonic M12II EVO for £66 on Scan

Also is he overclocking?

The build could be improved.cLet's start,

The PSU is not so great, If you look at the part number you noticed it will say "G1" and this means it was made by FSP. Big companies such as XFX, Corsair, and EVGA take PSUs from Delta, FSP, CWT, SeaSonic, or SuperFlower and rebrand them. FSP isn't the best of them and I suggest getting a EVGA GS which was made by SeaSonic or a EVGA G2 which was made by SuperFlower. Any XFX PSU would work as long would any SeaSonic PSU.

The Ram is blue but the rest of the build seems to be going for a red/black theme. I suggest getting some Kingston HyperX Fury Red or Black ram. 1600 or 1866mhz should be good as long a 1x8 or 2x4 kit.

The CPU cooler, I'd personally get the BeQuiet! Pure Rock, it's a great company and the fan that comes with it is much better then the stock one on the cooler master.

The GPU, absolutely nothing wrong with it but look into the R9 390. It's priced at around the same price point as the GTX 970 but the difference it the 390 has 8Gbs of VRAM for if you ever went 1440p and gets a little more FPS in games most of the time. It's all around a better card.

@ZetZet I see no problem with the fans. It's never a bad thing to have more fans. As for the HDD yeah it looks a bit expensive? Have you looked into the Caviar Blue WD Drives @JustAddMilk you should find them to be much cheaper. Also Zet why did you highlight the gaming 5? It's a perfectly good motherboard from a good brand.

OK so I took your Quote in consideration instead of the others who are like this is better *parts list*.

I forgot about the ram color and also bumped the fans up to 140mm. Switch the cooler to a beQuiet which looks so much better and added a different psu

here is what i have so far. Everyone says to remove the monitor so I did. But i still need a 1080p or higher monitor for this build that is under 150 BP

also the 390 looks a lot better and blends well with the color scheme

also the 390 looks a lot better and blends well with the color scheme

Where's the PCPartPicker link? Also for the monitor any 1080p IPS monitor will do. IPS is a must because the viewing angles are just so much better compared to that of a TN or VA

your current build is pretty bad, sorry

  1. get a better cpu cooling solution. an h60 or a noctua u12s
  2. i would get a less expensive motherboard
  3. get an ssd
  4. get a r9 390 instead as it beats the 970
  5. your psu is not very good, get the gs or g2 series
  6. don't waste money on fans
  7. get a better monitor @ 1ms and 144 hertz @ 1080p at least

@JustAddMilk

I changed the HDD to a Caviar blue http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/q7kYGX because you had chosen a Caviar green. The blue makes more sense for gaming because of its higher RPM. The green is made more for a office PC. Fans look good also.

not looking to overclock

mb could be downgraded but its dependable and aesthetically pleasing with the red and black

ssd too expensive with all the peripherals added

got a 390

switched psu to a EVGA SuperNOVA GS 550W

more fans better cooling and aesthetically pleasing :P

Monitors at 1ms and 144hz are too expensive. found this one but it seems cheap https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/lg-monitor-22mp55hqp
