Everyone swears by them but I have never had one of their mobo's or GPU's that didn't die on me within 6 months to a year. I truly believe it is just terrible luck and that they are a great company with high quality products, just figured I'd ask though.

Also this is completely my fault but I have worked on at least 50+ PC's in my life and the ONLY mobo I have ever shot was an MSI one. Then again I was asked to flash the cmos while drunk and on painkillers but it still is something I never thought could really happen...I guess I deserved it for saying I don't believe in anti static wristbands though :/

Edit:

Lol not some cool guy drunk here, I promise. It was a very rare scenario where I had painkillers for a torn quad and drunk because I had just got home from a post fight party for one of my friends. I rarely drink and hate drugs. Sorry if the original story came off in a scumbag way.

6-12 months is well under warranty. Also I had msi gpu's for a while now, no problems whatsoever.

Haven't had many product from them.. Except for my dad's motherboard, which still works great. 6 years later. So nothing but good experiences for me.

And all their other product looks very good too, but can't judge them too much as I have never had them

I think the Lightning cards are beast, and my old MSI mobo for Socket 478, and it was a decent mobo overall.

I just hope the TwinFrozr III cooler was worth the money lol

I'm not really a fan of their GPUs. They might have a good cooler, but they look fairly cheap and scream "gamer" all over the place. Also which after market graphics card has a bad cooler? They are all pretty good.
But I really like their motherboards. Out of all BIOS/UEFI interfaces I like the one from MSI the most. Also their motherboard designs are often pretty nice.

I haven't used any "gamer" notebook yet, but if I had to choose one it would be probably from MSI, or maybe Gigabyte.

I've had no issues with there boards or gpu's. MSI are pretty much the only motherboards I recommend now. None of my friends have had issues either. IMO they make some of the best mobo's for  the money.

Hey If you didnt have badluck you wouldnt have any luck at all! :P

The new Asus strix is the best looking cooler out now but before that msi was Deffo the best. They make amazing motherboards too, both my gpu and mobo are from msi and ive never had one issue.

where is your evidence to back up your statement??

That's what I'm saying, Asus usually make overpriced gpus like the 970 strix that doesn't overclock as well as cheaper options when it was released, evga make all their coolers look identical and make pointless variations of their gpus, what's the need in sc,ssc, ftw and ftw+, it's just stupid.
