Can i just spray paint over my monitor bezel? If i mask off the screen
oh wow thanks man! sorry for the trouble
It's no probs
I'm in bed watching movies, not much else
(but given I've been up all night and it's 7 am est, I'm not uploadings pics)
Good news, to take the bezel off, you just need to pop some plastic tabs.
Now, I'd use a flatter screwdriver or multiple ones carefully to avoid scarring. I have soft plastic tools to prevent this, but if you take your time you can accomplish this with regular flat head. I'd normally recommend a pocket knife, but the tabs are rather large.
(I don't give a shit about this screen, I just shoved it in there, pulled it partway apart)
Start at the bottom, directly under the dell logo is the first tab. It's good to start there, it's a good point of reference, and it's on the bottom, which makes it least notice if you scar it.
Pop that one, and work your way right or left, one tab at a time, around the screen.
Once you lift it off, be careful- the control buttons are attached by a flat cable. The buttons came come off via two small screws. Take that off, good to go.
I'm not sure if the little buttons come off the panel easily and can be painted, but try to keep the paint on the buttons a bit thin to avoid making them tough to move.
