Asus x99 Deluxe only 3 Star?

Im going to be putting a x99 deluxe in a upcoming build but I wanted to confirm this with the community that it was a quality board?

Sorry for such a short post, I just didnt want to drop nearly 400 on a motherboard without some advice first.

dont trust newegg user reviews, i would google up more professional ones to make sure the info is correct.

Those who write negative reviews, either don't know what they're doing, try to do something stupid, or want their board to perform something that's impossible to achieve. Like OC cpu to 8GHz on air cooling with a motherboard that cost like $50 bucks. And when the board can't do what they want, they go online to complain, acting all technical and crap, spitting out technical words, they probably don't even know what it means. Don't bother with newegg reviews, it's filled bs, that majority of the time the problem isn't the product itself, it's pebkac (problem exist between keyboard and chair). I've have a X99 Deluxe since launch, have it for almost 1 year and so far so good, no issues at all. Works like a champ.

If it's anything like their rampage series, it has bad reviews because its overpriced and 99% of people should never buy them for any reason. A $150 z97-c is enough for most people, but many still choose to spend $250 on a motherboard for no reason

Newegg reviews are terrible. Look at Amazon or other reviewing sites.

 

The X99 deluxe motherboard is amazing, but i'd get the x99-pro or something like that, if i had a black and white scheme.

It is overpriced compared to other boards but its a great board. I have the 3.1 version and it has been amazing. Its up to you if you wanna spend the extra cash. There is a MSI x99 board which is black and white btw.
