[Windows 10 Pro] I want nothing to do with a microsoft account

Chicken
Go to solution Solved by GoodBytes,

You can auto-login if you want.
Simply type in the search box: netplwiz

And uncheck the box that you need a password when you login. Click OK.

Enjoy!

It's really annoying to type in a password every time I turn my computer on, I can't seem to switch to a local account, it keeps giving me the error 0x80004005

Does anybody know a solution to change to a local account.

Sounds like you didn't do a clean install did you?  So many errors on here have been from botched upgrade installs.

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

I used to get to that menu by typing "control userpasswords2" into the run box. This must be some feature from windows 95

It's completely blown out of proportion. Also if you're the least bit worried about data gathering then you should go live in a cave a 1000Km from the nearest establishment simply because every device and every entity gathers information these days. In the current era privacy is just fallacy and nothing more.
