FX aint a good series. Go for an i5 Haswell-DT if you can, and pair it with a Z97 or Z87 motherboard if you are OC'ing, and go for an H81 or H97 mobo if you ain't.

FX aint a good series. Go for an i5 Haswell-DT if you can, and pair it with a Z97 or Z87 motherboard if you are OC'ing, and go for an H81 or H97 mobo if you ain't.

Mediocre, but if your relating ASIC quality to overclocking there is a benefit with higher ASIC but there isn't a immediate direct relationship between the two since there are a lot of other factors that affect the amount of overclocking a chip can achieve.

My Strix 970 is on 72.xx, not sure how good that is

 

I have managed it to take upto 1453 MHz, NVidia drivers crash above that.

Finally got PS4 Pro

ASIC doesn't mean shit, my 65% 970 is the fastest ATM. ASIC is mearly guide line.

ASIC quality does not matter. Unless you're doing LN2 or EXTREME overclocking, it doesn't matter.

ASIC quality is the quality of the circuitry

Better ocs at less voltage, less leakage.

My msi 970 craps out at around 1554mhz with an asic quality of 74.2%
