AMD Athlon X4 860k Not Available in Australia

So after hours of searching I have found no websites selling the 860k in Australia, does anyone know where I can pick one up? There was one on eBay for $180 but it isn't worth that much and due to one USD being equal to 1.37 AUD I want to avoid Amazon. Gaming sucks in Australia, new games are $100 and even with the USD-AUD exchange rate the cheapest place, I have managed to find, is still Amazon. (Excluding shipping)

theres ways to debate this.... but i dont have time 2

It goes toe to toe with an FX 8350 and even beats it occasionally-its better.

I can, for $50 USD more than the Athlon. 4 cores is the sweet spot now. I know the i3 has hyperthreading though. Anyway, the $50/70 AUD could be spent on a 120GB SSD that would boost performance much more than the i3

marginally

also, get it into your head please. Kaveri (A10 7800k, 7850k, 7870k, Athlon 860k etc) is NOT piledriver. its STEAMROLLER. WHich has higher base IPC then Piledriver. Incase you need more evidence.

Bulldozer (original FX) vs Piledriver (current FX)

http://anandtech.com/bench/product/1280?vs=700

Piledriver (current FX) vs Steamroller (APUs + 860k)

http://anandtech.com/bench/product/700?vs=1200

Just look at Cinebench R15, R11.5, R10....

Steamroller (860k + APUs), when OCd to 4.4 to 4.6GHz gets pretty close to a intel i3 4330 in single core perf (intel is still ahead by a decent margin)

My 7870k, at 4.6GHz can get 114 points in single thread performance

My old FX 8320 at 4.52GHz got 110 points in single thread performance

A Intel i3 4330 gets around 138 according to Anandtechs own benching system...

ON THE FLIP SIDE...

i3 multi thread is 341.... my 7870k (which has NOT had any voltage increases, just pure MHz increases) gets around 358-364 depending on the run (i have only ran it twice, need to test my tiny OC toy a bit more)

So... Athlon WILL LOSE in single thread, no discussion. But they are essentially pretty darn close if nothing else. Close enough to say they are nearly equals. Intel do have some other benefits other then a increased IPC though.

I know that its based on the improved CMT architecture, but the i3 is still better in every area, especially gaming (it goes toe to toe with the FX 8350). Also, don't forget that AMD went with CMT instead of their own version of hyperthreading, so their CPU have 2 modules (think modified Phenom II core) 4 ALU, so AMD still only has 2, 3 and 4 core CPU similar to the days of their own (and higher IPC) Phenom II.
