First Gaming PC - Opinions (< £900)

Hello all,

So recently I've been making finishing adjustments to my planned PC build (seen below) and I would like to know if you have any suggestions on what to improve/change and what is good about it.

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor  (£178.29 @ Amazon UK)
Motherboard: MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  (£86.37 @ Amazon UK)
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  (£72.37 @ Amazon UK)
Case: NZXT S340 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case  (£55.20 @ Aria PC)
Total: £831.46
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Points to note:
- Current monitor: 23" 1080p IPS monitor @ 60Hz
- I want to upgrade to multiple 1080p monitors or 1 x 1440p monitor soon
- I don't want to spend over £900 - that is maximum
- This is a gaming build

Other questions:
- Which cooler would be best here? Hyper 212 EVO or a Phanteks PH-TC12DX_BK?

All feedback is appreciated!

i wouldn´t change anything maybe get a AIO water cooler? h80i or h100i? And maybe a couple of extra fans...

I'd considered it, but for the extra price I didn't think it would be completely necessary unless I got lucky with my chip and could do a really great OC.

Fans are a good call, I'll add a few, any recommendations?

Maybe add another 8GB RAM and upgrade 1TB HDD to 2TB HDD?

Well I'd recommend looking out for some good second-hand deals, there's always something to get good there and since you can take desktops apart you can just sell off bits you don't like and improve what you do like (for example, an i7 2600k aren't that much slower than an i7 4770k but an old gtx 570 in the system could be upgraded).

Another thing you could do is wait for Skylake, according to Intel that should be a huge leap (possibly like 1st-gen icore series to sandy-bridge improvements).

One last thing, you can buy Windows from reddit for like $15 for standard and $20 for the Pro edition from this subreddit:

https://www.reddit.com/r/microsoftsoftwareswap/

If you want that I'd act quick, because the r/softwareswap closed down after Pao resigned.

EDIT: Also you build seems to be fine, just please upgrade that hard-drive to at least 2tb if you plan on storing a collection of videos.

8GB is enough for gaming really though, in my opinion. I doubt I'll be needing 16GB but thanks for the thought.

2TB? I've never filled 1TB (I'm really organised with my drives and only keep what I use haha)

Appreciate it man

For Windows, I've already got my OS on a USB drive, so that doesn't matter, but thanks for the info.

Skylake is certainly something I've been watching out for, it does seem promising... I might have to hang on a bit.

Video storage isn't really something I need particularly, but again, thanks for the advice!
