Can you update your lg g2 to android lolipop

So I saw somethings around that internet that you can actually update your LG G2 to android lolipop. But I'm not really good when it comes to these kinda things. My question is can you do it and if you have done it tell me if it's worth it why and why not.

I don't know whether it is out yet for your device, but 

 

Go to Device Settings -> About Phone/Device -> Software Updates -> Check for Updates

 

It should be somewhere along these lines. If there's an update, your phone will tell you after you tap the "Check for Updates". If there isn't an update, I guess you would have to wait for your region's variant of the software to come out. But there's always customs ROMs if you don't want stock ROM.
