Rude?

You're the one who was saying the wrong thing.

FX Chips do not run as hot compared to Intel CPUs(haswell).

Everybody on this forum always say the wrong things about FX CPUs simply because they never tried one or know the facts.

FX CPU on 80C is not normal.

I'm sorry if i went the wrong way, but i said that to correct you.

The details are irrelevant, and you're still being rude and pernickety

But no hard feelings or anything :)

wel mate this is going for 4 months now and just discoverd why and how so also it is also just the cputin in hw monitor when that EXACTLY hits 80 c it throttles down.

Well it shouldn't be, something with hot air or the cooler mounted wrong place is the problem. Downvolting and disabling Turbocore may help with temps.

Turbocore has a adaptive clock speed/voltage thing which sucks and can make you're chip overheat. I think stock volts on 8350 is like 1.365? I got to 1.284V on my 8320 but that's clocked at 3.5GHZ instead of 4GHZ.

but the problem is i already replaced the thermal paste 2 times and the cooler was firstly mounted by a local computer store since i build it there and somebody helped me and also i remounted it 2 times so yeah...

Downclocking helps. I have AMD FX 8120 and R9 280x and i had the same problem. CPU was overheating so I downclocked it and the frame rate was more stable.

Thats just silly, his cpu and gpu thermal throttling can just be solved without spending money needlessly.

80c is fine for processor. However, your graphics card is a notorious overheater.

Get one of these they're awesome:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/ARCTIC-Accelero-Xtreme-VRM-Cooling-DCACO-V800001-GBA01/dp/B00HHMJIIO/

That twin forzer cooler is just releasing that hot air back into the case for your cpu to suck up.

Can you post a picture of your case w/ fans? Maybe you have terrible airflow so that the heat can't get out?

I think you need a new case, looks like all the hot air stays in the case, what case do you have now?

80C is NOT fine for an AMD FX chip. Those max out at 60C. Yes it will throttle down to 1.4 GHz at that temperature.

here is my pics of my case the arrows point at the way the fan is blowing also the left bottom one is 3000rpm the cpu one is 1200rpm and above the cpu cooler is also 1200rpm http://i.gyazo.com/a622815c0efd650ca5ffb4564ba6df31.jpg

You know, sometimes people make mistakes and admit that they were wrong and that's fine. I was only trying to help and I was unfortunately incorrect.

The issue is when people unforgivingly post as if there isn't a human on the other end. Would you act that way [rudely] in real life? I think not.

Of course, this extends from (and is exacerbated by) a lack of sonder. According to the dictionary of obscure sorrows, the word sonder means "the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own". In essence, if you realised I had admitted that I was incorrect and that I am indeed a person of equal standing to yourself, then you would have reacted differently. Sometimes we forget that we're all people and are rude to each other, which it is easier to do when there is no prospect of a broken jaw at the end of the conversation

In your defense, the other person, @Bubblewhale was being a little rude and condescending too

I'm only made of porcelain so be nice

well sorry but alot of people are a bit on the offensive and i REALLY want to get my pc fixed so yeah again sorry

1 intake and 1 outtake won't cut it. And the cpu cooler will have trouble keeping the cpu cool even at stock speeds in a well ventilatied case.

If you want my attention, quote meh! D: or just stick an @samcool55 in your post :3

so what would you do ? change some fans out or what?

Get a case that has a lot of airflow and upgrade the cooling.

NZXT H440 is a nice case with a decent amount of airflow. And about the cooler, a big noctua :) An NH-D15 for example.

It will be enough if you add some extra fans. 2 extra ones should do it.

If it where mine first I would try running it with either the MB graphics or a cheap dGPU if you have one. Also I would try running it with the cpu flat since the heatpipes are basically just a pipe with water in it. Last resort is to try the stock cooler or a buddys PSU.

Lets isolate the problem before spending cash...

Stock cooler is noisy but absolutly fullproof. Hell the liquid guy may have forgot to put liquid in the heatpipes that day. Low voltage out of PSU may be causing a rise in amperage(doubtfull I know but you want the cause to be a cheap part and not an expensive one). Or it could be hot air off the gpu going ito the cpu cooler. Just trying to help.

I try lower volts, you can probably keep at 4GHZ at 1.3V. Also make sure to turn off AMD TurboCore

not really a good idea......try to find a case with a lot of airflow.

I got a 750D, which is fine.

First try turning your CPU cooler so it blows out the back. When you do this take off the cooler, clean the thermal compound off the CPU of thermal compound, and reapply a pea size amount of thermal compound. It might not have been applied properly. It's the best solution right now.

already reapplyed the thermal paste 3 times and the cpu cooler can't be turned around

More airflow/fan mounts.

But in the front it has poor airflow so have to make some holes or buy the mesh kit from Corsair.
