Hi !

So i already made other posts about this and with no luck yet so i post again.
I own fx 8350 with a asrock extreme3 R2.0 and a r9 290 also the cpu has hyper 412s on it but i have some big issues because my fx 8350 is hitting in hw monitor CPUTIN tab 80 celcius this makes the games that i play basically UNPLAYABLE  !
also my r9 290 is hitting the 90 celcius mark with ease but it has a twin frozr cooler on it!

and because my cpu is hitting 80 celcius its throttling back to 1.4 ghz !
my gpu also goes back since my cpu can't keep up with my gpu (see pcitures)

so also here are some graphs from msi afterburner.

GPU USAGE

FPS

normal 70~~ fps

VRAM USAGE
http://i.gyazo.com/3d8daec882fc194f22e26e59ab22c730.png

THE MAX WAS ABOUT 2.05 GB (i own a 4 GB card also it was the same on mantle and directx well the first block is directx and second mantle)

CPU RAM USAGE
http://i.gyazo.com/75f63858b98f7d6d7673bcdb04e88afc.png

~7.6 GB of the 8.1 GB i own
the deep dips (thats what she said) are switching between levels,
so you can pretty much see how much it throttles in TWO game of 10 minutes each in battlefield 4.

Here are some numbers of the temps:
http://i.gyazo.com/5302b5f38a6f4191a353554a0a785722.png (see the max of cputin and gpu the current temps are idle~)

So in other forum and on this forum they asked my to remove my cooler and remount it.
after that temps din't go up as fast but still throttles so thats what i already done i have no overclock except on the gpu which is 3% with a 5% energy limit increase.

and thats it some people say that it is my bad motherboard which isn't for this cpu others say that bullshit and say it can support it easily so i really don't know anymore what to do since i don't have a money tree and limited to a 140 euro budget if something needs to be swapped out so no no new cpu and motherboard tongue.gif

80c is fine for processor. However, your graphics card is a notorious overheater.

Get one of these they're awesome:

*Sigh*

8350 has a large process node thus it runs cooler than Intel chips.

Something is wrong with the cooler.

Try disabling TurboCore and downvolt at stock clocks first.

is GPU throttling not the issue here though, his processor won't throttle at 80c or will it? idk

I think you need a new case, looks like all the hot air stays in the case, what case do you have now?

If you want my attention, quote meh! D: or just stick an @samcool55 in your post :3

80C is NOT fine for an AMD FX chip. Those max out at 60C. Yes it will throttle down to 1.4 GHz at that temperature.

Would you mind posting a picture from the internals of your computer?

Also what pc case do you have now? And are the fans working? Maybe there is a lot of dust build up inside your pc.

cleaned a week ago i use a cm force 500 also i have a 1300rpm cpu fan a 3000rpm case fan in the front blowing air inside and a 2000rpm fan blowing air out of the case.

and the photo i will post soon but since i am using this computer to answer you right now it is pretty difficult

I would downclock the processor and start thinking about buying a water cooler.

that isn't practical since every other processor runs FINE with a air cooler its like saying that my gpu can't handle 4k at max settings that instead of turning settings down just saving for a quad 980ti setup and not play the game while waiting

at 80C it will shutdown soon

It's something wrong with the cooler or hot air is stuck.

wel mate this is going for 4 months now and just discoverd why and how so also it is also just the cputin in hw monitor when that EXACTLY hits 80 c it throttles down.

but is there any inside since i don't know what to do and rather just solve it and not buy stuff.

but since other fx 8350 run fine at low temps on that motherboard it is kinda weird that mine doens't do that so there is something wrong

Can you post a picture of your case w/ fans? Maybe you have terrible airflow so that the heat can't get out?

That twin forzer cooler is just releasing that hot air back into the case for your cpu to suck up.

i will now take a picture and i will be right back

You know, sometimes people make mistakes and admit that they were wrong and that's fine. I was only trying to help and I was unfortunately incorrect.

The issue is when people unforgivingly post as if there isn't a human on the other end. Would you act that way [rudely] in real life? I think not.

Of course, this extends from (and is exacerbated by) a lack of sonder. According to the dictionary of obscure sorrows, the word sonder means "the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own". In essence, if you realised I had admitted that I was incorrect and that I am indeed a person of equal standing to yourself, then you would have reacted differently. Sometimes we forget that we're all people and are rude to each other, which it is easier to do when there is no prospect of a broken jaw at the end of the conversation

In your defense, the other person, @Bubblewhale was being a little rude and condescending too

Downclocking helps. I have AMD FX 8120 and R9 280x and i had the same problem. CPU was overheating so I downclocked it and the frame rate was more stable.

Thats just silly, his cpu and gpu thermal throttling can just be solved without spending money needlessly.

Rude?

You're the one who was saying the wrong thing.

FX Chips do not run as hot compared to Intel CPUs(haswell).

Everybody on this forum always say the wrong things about FX CPUs simply because they never tried one or know the facts.

FX CPU on 80C is not normal.

I'm sorry if i went the wrong way, but i said that to correct you.

Why downclock when downvolt is at same clock but uses less power/less heat output.

TurboCore is POS that's adaptive clock speed and voltage that may make your FX CPU throttle.
